| XXXX - Got upstairs propped the big ladder up to manually turn the mirror doors open. Only south door opened by itself. North door was buried between East and West door. Opened the East door manually (success). Opened the West door manually (Success). Half way through opening the west door by spinning the top part of the motor it kicked in and opened by itself reliving pressure on north door and it (north door) opened by itself only to Slam shut 4-5 seconds later. The bolt that holds the mechanism that twists the cylinder (that in-turn moves the door open or closed) was undone probably due to it slamming shut and being under pressure and letting all the go at once. Coordinated with sam and braydn Found the Locking metal ring on the floor that belongs on the bolt. Because the Motor was doing its job the Shaft of the cylinder was jammed onto the frame of the scope. The easiest way to Undo that was to go to Control room and Close mirror doors again so that they go back to being compressed (cylinder). and then we placed the bolt into the arm that drives the mirror door open or close and also locked it in place with on of the locking rings that we found from the ground. Opened mirror doors from control room again so see if the fix worked but the housing for the belt that drives the cylinder up or down came off axel. Tried putting it back on but failed. It came out of the axel every time. Also it kept spinning cause the motor now was in a closed circuit and doing its job. Tried Unscrewing the power to the motor but it was easier to just break the circuit. so we stuck a piece of sticky note wrapped in duct tape between the contacts that drive the motor around the bottom part of the Cylinder. | XXXX - Got upstairs propped the big ladder up to manually turn the mirror doors open.
