  1. pointed at deneb and set object position approx 1730, calibrated phd2 on deneb
  2. Attempted to point at GD391A but was thwarted by clouds
  3. ABORT given approx 1845 as cloud cover worsens
  4. North mirror door woes, after slewing to zenith and attempting to close mirror doors, all doors closed except North.
  5. Onkar instructed Connor to give percussive maintenance to said door via rubber mallet, but north did not budge.
  6. Onkar power cycled MDC and instructed Connor to unplug north mirror door motor.
  7. Onkar gave open mirror door command, other mirror doors opened.
  8. Onkar instructed Connor to plug north motor back in.
  9. Onkar gave command to close mirror doors and all mirror doors closed.
  10. Onkar gave command to open and close mirror doors to replicate issue but all doors closed and opened as expected with north being slightly slow.
  11. THEORY IS the cold is negatively affecting the material used for the motor mirror sprocket, more so in north assembly.
  12. It makes sense that due to the cold temperature, the delrin would shrink and thus increase friction against the worm gear, making it more difficult and slower to actuate in either direction.
  13. SOLUTION IS seeing if this is a recurring issue first of all and if it is, to take down the assembly and drill out the delrin hole like we had to when we first installed the new parts.

- replicate north mirror door issue or keep close eye on it

- NOAA and weatherunderground reported clear skies, they both lied - don't use ā€œIā€ flats, we forgot to turn off the security camera infrared LED

- clouds

- flats uploaded to drive
