Earlier in the day before ES, mirror doors were found to not be working as only the north door would open. It was found that when the open button was pressed, the south, east, and west motors all seem to start to spin for about a quarter of a second before stopping. Restarting dfmtcs, tilting the telescope and just waiting after opening them for some time were all tried to no success. Continued to try and resolve the issue at the start of ES. It was found that after trying to open the doors, the motors for the south, east, and west mirror doors are on and overheating as they’re significantly hotter than the motor on the operational mirror door and they are moving even when the mirror doors have been closed/opened. We waited until the motors had cooled before trying again, which still did not work. The session was ended due to the issue not being able to be resolved.
